The Beckhoff KL3042 is a 2-channel analog input Bus Terminal designed to power measuring transducers in the field and transmit analog measurement signals to automation devices with electrical isolation. It supports a 0…20 mA current input range, features 12-bit resolution, and uses single-ended measurement technology. Sensor voltage is supplied via the power contacts, which can be fed in the standard way or through an electrically isolated power feed terminal (KL9xxx). Independent of power contact supply voltage, the KL3042 provides stable measurement performance. Run LEDs indicate data exchange with the Bus Coupler, while error LEDs signal overloads and broken wires.
