The GE IS420UCSBH1A is a UCSB Controller Module engineered as part of the Mark VIeS safety system. This controller integrates a 600 MHz (or 1066 MHz EP80579 variant) Intel microprocessor with 256 MB DDR2 SDRAM memory and operates on the QNX Neutrino real-time multitasking OS.

Unlike traditional backplane-based controllers, the IS420UCSBH1A does not host I/O modules directly. Instead, it connects to I/O packs via dedicated IONet Ethernet interfaces, allowing seamless and secure communication with all supported I/O modules.
