SH-1600 Steam Trap, 1″ Socket Weld, 1750 psi MOP – ARMSTRONG D678966
The SH Series superheat steam trap operates based on the effect of temperature on bimetallic elements. At startup, the valve remains wide open, allowing non-condensables and cold condensate to be expelled. As the trap reaches steam temperature, the bimetallic elements pull the valve into the seat, closing the trap. Once the elements cool, the valve cracks open again, venting condensate and non-condensables before closing when steam temperature is restored.
Designed for harsh superheated steam environments, the SH-1600 series utilizes titanium valves and seats to ensure exceptional durability and extended service life. It automatically adjusts to changing steam conditions, making it ideal for low-load and high-pressure steam applications.
