Description

This advanced shock recorder accurately detects and logs shocks up to 30g, capturing the time and direction of impact across the X, Y, and Z axes. It operates efficiently with a standard C-Cell battery, recording impacts for up to six months. The recorder uses pressure-sensitive paper to document each event, and the data is clearly visible throughout the duration of the mission.

Key Features:

  • Detects and records shocks up to 30g, including time and direction of impact.
  • Logs impact events for up to six months with a single standard C-Cell battery.
  • Uses pressure-sensitive paper for impact documentation.
  • Provides visible impact data during the mission.
  • Part Number: Contact Sales Rep for part numbers.

How to Use the Impact Recorder:

  1. Mounting: Secure the Impact Recorder to the object to be monitored. For optimal results, mount the X-axis in the direction of travel if possible.
  2. Setup: Remove the stylus guard and set the chart paper to the desired starting time.
  3. Operation: Turn on the recorder and lock the cover if needed. The recorder will then track shocks, charting their magnitude, direction, and time.

The recorder features three mass-spring styluses working independently to measure shocks along the X, Y, and Z axes. Each stylus operates with angular vibration, and the mechanical friction-free linkage converts motion from all three directions onto a single chart, making the data easy to interpret.
